This week on Fast Charge, Dom Preston, Chris Martin and Adam Patrick Murray Talk about this week’s three big phone launches: the OnePlus Nord, the Lenovo Legion Phone, and the ROG Phone 3.
The Nord marks OnePlus’ return to the mid-range market and is the first flagship killer, having made many flagships instead in recent years. It’s available to pre-order now, and Dom says it’s proof that most people just don’t need a flagship phone.
Meanwhile, Lenovo and Asus chose the same day to launch their new gaming phones, both of which are powered by the Snapdragon 865+ chipset. The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel and Asus ROG Phone 3 offer similar specs, but each leans towards the gaming side in different ways – Lenovo places a heavy emphasis on horizontal use with a side-mounted selfie lens, while Asus is heavily accessory- and RGB- effects sets.
