(Pocket-lint) – OnePlus has changed its launch strategy in recent years, and even more so this year. The first sign that things would be different in 2022 was when the OnePlus 10 Pro first launched in China, while no non-Pro sibling was announced.

That means there have been questions for months as to whether or not OnePlus would even launch a non-Pro OnePlus 10. The company has previously tried to deny questions about it, but a recent leak suggests we will – indeed – see one at some point this year.

If the rumor is true, the OnePlus 10 will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (1080 x 2400) that uses 2nd Gen LTPO technology to achieve adaptive refresh rates between 1Hz and 120 Hz to offer.

So, apart from the resolution, it should be very similar to the panel of the OnePlus 10 Pro. And there are claims that it could be a little more powerful than the Pro model.

The leak, published by Digit in collaboration with OnLeaks, says that OnePlus is testing models with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor, as well as a MediaTek variant with a 9000-series processor.

This is claimed to be supported by either 8GB or 12GB of RAM and either 128GB or 256GB of storage, as well as a 4800mAh battery capable of supporting OnePlus/Oppo’s latest flash charging technology.

That said, it charges very quickly thanks to support for 150W SuperVOOC charging.

It is claimed that the phone will have three cameras on the rear, including a 50-megapixel primary, a 16-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel camera, with an upgraded 32-megapixel selfie camera in the Display is stamped on the front.

A surprising inclusion in this latest leak is the rumor that this phone will be the first OnePlus flagship in years not to include a physical alarm slide switch. This has been a mainstay for a while, offering an easy way to toggle between ringing, vibrating, and silent.

The OnePlus 10 is expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2022, which means at least a couple of months before we’ll likely hear anything more official about it, but we’ll update you on the story as new information comes in.
