In a popular episode of The Simpsons Season 7, Bart gets in hot water for stealing Bonestorm, the video game of the moment. At the end of the episode, Marge mistakenly buys Bart Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge, a much less gory golf simulator game.

In the credits, Bart plays the mundane game that has since spawned t-shirts, toys, and fan references, but now it’s an actual playable game thanks to the loving work of Aaron Demeter. You can play the game here.

You line up to play a putt and get to choose what type of swing you want to make, with audio and visuals straight from The Simpsons. The joke is basically, yeah, this game sucks. Some of you reading this may be wondering what the heck we’re talking about, but if you know, you know.

The sim likely infringes more than minor copyrights, but as The Verge pointed out, former Simpsons executive producer and showrunner Bill Oakley doesn’t care, having tweeted his approval of the game.
