(Pocket-lint) – There have been few modern games franchises with a range of successes that can rival Uncharted, from its debut on PlayStation 3 to a recent collection of games enhanced for the PlayStation 5.
Sony saw fit to convert its cinematic action games into real cinema with the February 2022 release of Uncharted, a film starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the film.

Now that Uncharted has largely completed its run in theaters, you have a nice selection when it comes to watching the film at home. The easiest would be to pre-order it on Blu-ray or DVD before the disc versions are released on May 8th, 2022. Digital distribution for the film will also open on a number of platforms at this time.
If you don’t want to wait that long, you can buy the film digitally via Amazon Prime Video starting April 26, 2022. It costs £13.99, or $19.99 for an HD version, and you can pre-order it now too if you want. It will also be available on other platforms from that date if you prefer another.
Summary of the unknown plot
In Uncharted, Tom Holland takes on the role of cunning thief Nathan Drake, who is recruited by an elderly con man, Sully (Mark Wahlberg). Your goal is a vast fortune lost by seafarers hundreds of years ago, and it will take you around the world in search of long-lost clues. You’re followed all the way by a villain played by Antonio Banderas, and the movie looks like a fun thriller that’s nice and family-friendly.
If the film finds the success Sony is hoping for, the games’ stories offer many more twists for possible sequels, so this could also be the start of a new cinematic franchise.
Uncharted is rated 12 or PG-13 and runs for 1h 56min.
