Source: Obi-Wan Kenobi gets a longer trailer for Star Wars Day
(Pocket-lint) – Obi-Wan Kenobi’s forthcoming TV show, in honor of today’s Star Wars Day, has another trailer to whet viewers’ appetites. It’s a longer look at the difficulties that the hidden Jedi Master will go through in the series.
The show is due out in late May after rumors it would release today in honor of “May the Fourth Be With You” turned out to be false.
The day would never go by without something to mark it, however, and Disney is committed with a slick trailer that ends with the strongest banter yet about Darth Vader’s presence in the story, again played by Hayden Christensen.
Meanwhile, we also get some real voice from Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan urging Owen Lars to accept that Luke Skywalker will need training once he’s old enough to use the Force, and will be greeted with some headwind.
There’s also plenty of footage showing the power of the Inquisitorial forces that will clearly be hunting Obi-Wan throughout the show, and they seem quite difficult to capture. Of course, we know Obi-Wan will survive given his presence in the original Star Wars films, but there will still be danger.
