After making some adjustments to its strategy, Samsung is finally ready to make a comeback in the low-end and mid-range markets. Enter the Galaxy M series – specifically the Galaxy M10. The phone is the cheapest out of the lineup while trying to cover all the bases. But in India, which the M10 is targeting, things will be difficult. We have a few Chinese manufacturers approaching on both sides, so the competition is heating up.
However, the Galaxy M10 is one of the few devices made by Samsung with an IPS display instead of AMOLED, but that’s to be expected – the Korean giant wants to keep costs as low as possible. We also have an octa-core CPU on board, which fits nicely in the $130-$150 price range. A large battery, an ultra wide-angle lens and a large screen are one of its main selling points.
However, comparing the Galaxy M10 to the Realme 3 or the Redmi Note 7 (though slightly more expensive) makes it harder to recommend Samsung’s offering. We received the phone in its original packaging with the usual user manuals, SIM ejector and of course the micro USB cable for data transfer and charging. The Brick only supports up to 5W (5V/1A) charging, but you can squeeze in a little more juice if you use a third-party charger.
